I switched to a sport comp for the brushed ring. They are good gauges in my opinion, light years above stock. I believe my water temp gauge to be accurate. When tuning last year, the nprob showed water temp 5 degrees higher than my Z series gauge. I attribute the 5 degrees difference as to where the temp senders are located (on block water pipe, and z series on my Howe rad.) The only prob. I have had w/ autometer in general is their boost gauges are not always calibrated to 0. When off the needle sits to one side or the other of 0, not always the case but hit or miss on their gauges.
